Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Entebbe Botanical Gardens, relax by Lake Victoria, or simply rest from your flight.
After breakfast, begin your journey north. The highlight of the day is rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. With an armed ranger, you’ll walk on foot through the bush to observe these magnificent creatures up close. Continue to Murchison Falls, stopping for lunch en route. In the evening, visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a 7-meter gorge before plunging 45 meters.
Rise early for a sunrise game drive on the northern banks of the Nile. Expect elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, hartebeests, and abundant birdlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Nile to the base of the falls, watching hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds. For the adventurous, you can hike to the top of the falls after the cruise. Evening leisure at your lodge.
Drive south through the Albertine Rift Valley, past villages, escarpments, and lush green countryside. Stop for photos at scenic viewpoints. Arrive in Fort Portal, surrounded by crater lakes and tea plantations. Enjoy an evening walk or relax at your lodge with views of the Rwenzori Mountains.
This day is about exploration and culture. Take a guided crater lake walk, where you’ll spot rare birds, interact with locals, and enjoy breathtaking views. Later, visit a community for cultural experiences: traditional dances, storytelling, crafts, and a taste of local cuisine. Evening relaxation at your lodge.
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular safari park. Drive through scenic landscapes and arrive for an evening game drive where you might spot elephants, buffalo, and antelopes against a backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains.
Early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, a prime area for lions and large herds of Uganda kobs. Other wildlife includes elephants, warthogs, and waterbucks. Return for brunch and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Watch hundreds of hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and bird species like pelicans, kingfishers, and fish eagles.
Drive south through the Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions resting in fig trees. After game viewing and picnic lunch, continue to the serene Lake Bunyonyi, dotted with 29 islands. Evening relaxation by the lakeside.
Enjoy a day of relaxation and light adventure. Go on a canoe ride across Lake Bunyonyi, visit some of its islands, and learn the folklore behind them. You may also hike, swim, or visit local villages to experience culture and crafts. This day is yours to explore at leisure.
After breakfast, head to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest but richest savannah park. Go on an evening game drive to spot zebras, giraffes, elands, topis, and warthogs. This park is perfect for up-close encounters since it lacks large predators in most areas.
Start with a guided walking safari, one of the rare opportunities in Uganda to walk freely among zebras, giraffes, and antelopes under the guidance of a ranger. After lunch, take a boat ride on Lake Mburo, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, and numerous waterbirds including the African finfoot.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, then drive back to Entebbe. Stop at the Equator line for photos and souvenir shopping. Arrive in Entebbe in time for your international flight.
